About The Course
This unique half-day course is designed to assist social care professionals, early year’s practitioners and teaching staff to meet the EYFS early learning goals and their settings welfare and safeguarding requirements. This course guides delegates into effectively communicating with children either during 1-1 sessions or as a group using the 'Tales of Bushey Lane' Book and Activity Packs. The book and packs open conversations with children to inform practitioners of a greater understanding of the child’s world.
Course Benefits
This course teaches delegates how to effectively use the book and the activity packs in order to gain an insight into the child's family circumstances, social environment and the child’s understanding of their world. It enables delegates to assess the child’s understanding of their identity which will then provide information for their learning journal, whilst also making the best use of reflective and group supervision, assessment and planning of next steps. It is a particularly useful tool when used with children whose first language is not English.
